Mass shootings in the US, with and without ARs

These interactive maps show sites and victim counts for mass shootings committed around the country as of June 11, 2023.

Click the datawrapper link for the full version of these maps. We aren’t even to summer solstice and there have been almost 300 mass shootings in the US. Most involve firearms other than assault rifles.

But there are also plenty of mass shootings being committed with assault rifles, and as I mention in this related post, these incidents, although less frequent, have higher victim and fatality counts.
